Today we are going to Asda for the messages, then we have wee Macie coming this afternoon and she is sleeping over tonight. Apart from that I might go up the town for a looksie.

Going training now. Then shower, then Tesco, then put up a new safety net around the trampoline and then spread more of the chippings on the drive.

Re: What are you doing today??
Had a bit of a clearout; not me-the house, and took an old portable TV, a VHS tapemachine, an old camera and a box of 70s 45rpm singles up to the re-cycling centre. Said to bloke running the place, "There's a box of 45 singles in there mate"...he says "I've got an I-pod with 5,000 songs on pal, ah'm no wantin' them". Fair enough...

It's open 7 days Dermo, Sunday is actually the busiest day for punters 'cos it's their day off! Council run too.

Re: What are you doing today??
I've got new double glazing getting installed on 2-3 May, so I've just asked 2 painter and decorator firms to come round tomorrow night for estimates on re-decorating.

Re: What are you doing today??
What kind of double glazing Cam? You know the wider the gap between the 2 panes, generally, the less the heat loss. ( You can also get glazing with Argon gas between the panes which is even better.)

So did you sell the minibus without seats then...
And is it the idiot who bought the minibus, who is now buying the seats...

Re: What are you doing today??
Bought it in the UK as a 12 seater. Had to take 5 seats out here to get private insurance on it. Had the seats stashed in my shed and took them out when I finally got round to selling them. Ripped 2 of the feckers taking them out of the shed and reduced their value by half ( at least) . Anyway, got 100 euro for them which isn't so bad as I was going to throw them in the dump next week if they hadn't sold.

It's the best of gear Dermo. Gap is 24mm I think, 5 chamber profiles and has 90% argon:10% air in gap. High security friction hinges and 8 point locking system. It's a German manufacturer but I can't remember the name. "A" rated energy window. Tilt and turn. Discreet Low sightline dynamic gaskets. Something about different glass on inside and outside as well for heat loss and sun relection or something...

Re: What are you doing today??
Sounds like Pilkington K Glass on the inner pane. Keeps the room cooler in summer and warmer in winter apparently. I'd say that your glazing didn't come cheap Cam!

Re: What are you doing today??
Hopefully, this will be my last major outlay in life Kev. (Apart from a better car every 8 years or so). After the decorators have been in, new carpets for the bedrooms. Bedroom furniture and new beds all ordered...Topdog wrote:We got Pilks on our conservatory, good stuff. Cam you got more money than Reg man.
