Is this the "big" move Kev? I have to take down and move half of the scaffolding round to the other side of the house today.

Took down the curtain rails in both bedrooms and dismantled a chest of drawers and a wardrobe, which only took 10 minutes cos it's them crappy MFI flatpack shite. All preparation for new windows and re-decorating and all new bedroom furniture. Can't wait 'til it's all done though.

Hey Cam, if you want to make flat pack furniture to stay looking straight use glue as well as the screws. This applies to kitchen units also. And dont site your kettle or the cooker under any wall units. By golly you get some useful tips on here. What are you doing today?? - Page 32 3025408739

Those are standard sizes Cam but you have to trim then to fit. To do this you will need a 7" circular saw, two clamps and a long piece of straight wood, a tape measure and a smidgeon of diy aptitude. Then you will need to butt in the hinges for which you will need a chisel and mallet. Then you will need to put on the door handles for which you will need a drill with appropriate bit and some more chiselling. Then you will need a chair to stand on to screw the screws into the door frame,,,,,,,,alternatively you could just live with what you already have. By the way B&Q do have a website where you can see the doors without doing any leg work. What are you doing today?? - Page 32 294053457

Yep to reach the chair. If he paints them with scenes of Scottish lochs and mountains it will save him driving all over the countryside every weekend too. Bank Holiday next week, he will have booked B@B already......

Decorators start on May holiday (6th). Windows are going in on 2 & 3rd. It will be at least a week for the decorating, then I can phone the carpet people. (Walnut and Almond they are, I thought they were feckin' nuts not colours What are you doing today?? - Page 32 3025408739) After carpets, I then phone the furniture guys. I'm going nowhere in the near future.
I did see a nice deal on Easy-Breaks though in Scarborough; Raven Hall Country House. £109/person for a 2 day Dinner, bed and breakfast. Has a pool and a jacuzzi and a sauna too. Might try it later.

We can take it if we're over 55 Dermo. But you lose about 5% for every year early you take it.
