Re: What are you doing today??
I'm going out in the car today to take loads of photos for this site [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I've taken dozens of photos of the old weaver's houses in my home village of Saline over the last year or so and I've since found out they are "listed", so I downloaded about 40 of them last night to the website. I'm going to get the rest of them today. There are 22 still to get, not all buildings, some are bridges over rivers or a summer hut in a farm garden, there are even a couple of mile posts!
It takes a few days for the photos to be approved so it'll probably be mid-week before they are all on the site. I'm quite chuffed that I will have provided all the pictures for the listed buildings in my home village!

Amendment, between the pool and the party we had a bit time to waste, now we could have just stayed in the pub drinking, but were sportsmen, so casino it was, put down twenty, lost it pretty quick, so another twenty it was, came out just over a hundred up, makes the hangover a bit better...

Re: What are you doing today??
Feck it's not a secret! First I went looking for a couple of mile posts that were "listed" near Knockhill. I found one but couldn't find the second one. I think someone's nicked it. Then we went to Saline cemetery for a wee walk round the gravestones (I know, I'm sick!) Then we drove to Burntisland for a spot of lunch at the Kingswood Hotel, nice roast chicken carvery thank you very much, then we went to Inverkeithing and had a walk round there. Great day all round!

my mum in hospital with severe dehydration, kidney infection and severe stubbornitis. Don't know how long she will be kept in. Being dragged from pillar to post at the moment. Have driven over 500 miles in last 48 hrs. Probably another 160 tomorrow.

Re: What are you doing today??
...and here's where we went in Inverkeithing...
Old Hospitium of Grey Friars...
...see!
Rear view...
Ancient steps...
Old cells/storage areas?
Old well of Friary...
Covered cells?
...there's also a wee playground for tiny tots and a walled in, grass, safe play area where you can have a picnic. It was great!

What stone is that first building built from? Its the same as a lot of the buildings in the "old town" of Edinburgh. I'd love to build a house from it.
