Some time back in local (it's a small hotel), there were two "older" Irish guys and a young lad about fourteen staying, we had gathered they were all family, they were there for a few nights, over to see a United game, the old guys joined in with us locals having a game of pool, young lad sat playing on his ipad,,, one night young lads sitting at corner of the bar watching us play pool, I say put your name down for a game, no one in here will mind, he looks at the older of the two guys and says he won't let me, I say I'll have a word with your granddad, lad says that's my dad...

walked into my old school the other evening to meet some of the boys and teachers. One guy turned up in the old uniform. Haven't seen him in 20 years. "Dermo" he roars, "do you remember the time we hung Gabriel Keane out the top window by his ankles"???    Ah, the memories

Off to Kerry to set up the house there for the winter. Voice is still gone. Shakes have stopped. Kidneys feel better. Despite not having more than 4 hours sleep since Friday, it still took till 3am this morning to nod off. Thank God this event only happens every 25 years.
