Mate lives out of town, party was in the upstairs function room of his local, they've got small bottles of wine on display, I ask for a pint and a bottle of the wine, barmaid plonks my pint and a full size bottle of wine on the bar, and says £9.20,,, I say how much is the wine, £6,,, and it was good stuff, mmmm, no more beer for me then, absolutely rat arsed, got home, threw up for Britain, woke up this morning, sides a bit sore, look in mirror, covered in blood, no skin and a bruise the size of a rugby ball ? Not a clue...

Re: What are you doing today??
Would seem the other guy was the chest of drawers, there was one of those present bag things sitting in the gap between the chest of drawers and the wall, it's now flat, recon I've got up to go to toilet, fell backwards in to the gap and in the process ripped my side apart on the sharp edge/corner of the chest of drawers...
Six pounds for a decent bottle of Harvey's in a pub,,, well when I say bottle think it was about three or four, the pain is well worth the pleasure...
Hic...

Re: What are you doing today??
Well son Toby has been doing a bit of research, Turns out if my dad who i thought he was had another son, so i would have another brother, but he wasnt so i havent
He is an editor of a paper so thats where i get my gramma from then
Anyway he is called Geoffrey, his father scarpered when he was 2, so he never met him so to speak,
Seems to me like everybody was bang at it in the 40's and 50's. no tele then,
Some parents have a lot to answer for,
I checked Geoff had a few £££ before i phoned him, Dont want any hangers on do we

Re: What are you doing today??
Taking it easy, went grocery shopping yesterday and lifted 3 x 8ltr bottles of water from the trolley into the boot of the car and then out again at the other end. Have put my back out so sitting with feet up. I know I should have waited for Jim to do it but at the time it seemed OK.
