Re: What are you doing today??
Been up in the attic today, searching for an intermittent electrical fault, found it, a loose wire where the ring main goes into the far too small connections in a ceiling rose. Now we have lights in the upstairs west wing AND the stairs too. It was me that built the rooms up there so no fecker for me to blame. One day I will finish putting the windows in and the plastering...... I bought those brand new about 15 years ago. Manana then.......

Smelling the beef roasting and thinking of names to put in a 'bag' to play Who's in the Bag... did it yesterday and can probably use a few of the same names as some were so pissed they will never remember.

Re: What are you doing today??
More glorious weather here today , yesterday we met friends for lunch ,with the intention of going to the Dome, when we got there there were queues of people along George St waiting to get in, so plan B required, Cafe Andaluz was voted first choice so of we went , for those who don't know the place it is enormous and we soon had a table upstairs and our drinks order taken, this place is wonderful it looks and has the ambience of a really good Spanish restaurant, when the waiter returned to take our order we had decided to have a selection of tapas and when they arrived we were delighted, they all looked and tasted like they would in Spain ,really impressive, among others we had chorizo and black pudding with roasted peppers in a piquant sauce , beef gypsy style[gitano] chicken strips in a lovely sort of sweet and spicy sauce plus papas bravas and mushrooms etc with loads of fresh bread and Manchego it was really delicious and probably a quarter the price we would have payed in the Dome ,now that is what I call a result, we left and spent the rest of the afternoon in a bar in Princes St overlooking the castle, where by the way they are selling tickets for entry to the bar on Hogmanay for £95 , don't know if any drinks are included but Hogmanay dinner costs £150 ,[4 tickets left @£95

Tickets for entry to the bar...pure greed. Princes St. will be heaving on hogmanay and they'll have to close the doors anyway.

Normally for the fireworks at the end of the festival all drinks are included ,so it will probably be the same tomorrow, you won't get a better view anywhere ,and the show lasts for hours, P.S. back door onto Rose St
