Well the do was ok as it happens,
 Liz turned up dressed as usual but with a button undone down to nip level  
I saw her looking at me wishing to steal a moment alone, It never happened
But i think we are making progress, so until the next time then,

Replaced ceiling I built in hallway 15 years ago, plasterboard damp, put some 9mm ply up instead that I had hanging about. Only 6 sheets left now. Probably last longer anyway.    Some laminate on the floor which I hate but it was another ebay bargain...... At least its oak not the ghastly beech colour.
My daughter has got her labrador bitch back that went walkabout last month. Apparently a caravan dweller near Newmarket got murdered and he had loads of dogs and hers was returned as it was chipped! Nice to see Cambridgeshire Constabulary on the ball.   Dont know if they have caught the murderer yet, doubt they really care either.

I dont think its very nice to describe gypsy women as dogs Kevin. 
I have taken the plunge and got some plane tickets for me and Freddie. We arrive on Saturday evening which is right handy, wont have to take my jumper off. 
Secured an interview with NHS for other son, no jobs he keeps telling me, absolute bollux see. And he says I cant even use a computer.... Right up his street, nursing assistant, hes a right Pansy anyway....

Freddie is under 21 and got 5.50 an hour, every hour including the all night Sunday shift. The Injuns wont pay 6.50 you know.......

Off out now, meeting Carol and going to see the Tenerife Jersey Boys at Howards Smokehouse, they have a special 3 course meal for €14.95 so should be good.

Arrived safely after a faultless journey Edinburgh was quiet so we were checked in pronto, great flight ,arrived on time, quick transfer to P.D.L.A. and a very quick check in and a free upgrade to a better room , can't be bad , good night out last night on the Patch, and a lovely day today , with a shandy at lunch time in Lazy Daze [very quiet], out now to dinner, adios hasta la proxima vez

What a great night, the food was excellent 2 courses €10 summat, 3 courses €12.50 plus we were given 10% discount and huge caramel vodka's at the end of the night.  Met a facebook friend who lies close by and didn´t know who she was although we talk most days so a fab night.  If Carol remembers to post me the photos from her phone I will do a proper review.

Was that the early doors special Meryl? May well pop in next week, or maybe the one at Las Chafiras near McDs you reported on a while back. Being as I will have a car I might go native up in the hills and see what I can find.........

Today Mathew I'm just about to send a load of texts...

Last night just getting ready to go to quiz, my phone goes , it's Ray the pool league secretary, he's trying to arrange a friendly match for us  pre the Knockout Cup Final two weeks Wednesday,  as our conversation is coming to a close he say "you've heard about Ray from the Derby Arms", by the tone of his voice I know what's comming next "he died"... He explains he's put a bit about it on the pool leagues website and that the funerals next Wednesday nine thirty, asks me if I'm coming, yip I say, Ray was one of our drinking bunch, done the train trips, dogs nights etc with us...

Anyway I head to the quiz, three of the guys from my pool team are in the local, I tell them about Ray and the funeral details, word spreads around the pub as others not involved in the pool league probably knew him as well...

Today, we'll just a few minutes ago actually I take a look at the pool website to see what Ray the league secretary has written about Ray,,, feck, feck, feck, it's Ray the Derby Arms landlord that's died not Ray our mate who plays in their pool team,,, I've got everyone going to a funeral of a guy they probally don't even know........

To many fecking Rays,,,  suppose I'd  better get texting,,,,, Arghhhhhhhhh
