Luckily they had it at the police station. Saved £170.Adam Mint wrote:Mate got a old motocross bike stolen from his garage, reported it to the police, was back on to the police a few days later as there had been a second attempt to break in to his garage, about three months later he gets a call from the police to say the bikes been found, next day my mate goes to the privately run storage compound with a view of collecting the bike,,, company want silly money off him for storage, he says how can it be that much you've only had it one night, guy says no, 90 nights...
My mate worked it out, bike had been found the day after it was stolen...
Also the way the bike had been stored it had allowed water to get in to the engine and it had rusted/seized up, he decided due to the storage and repair costs it wasn't worth retrieving from the compound...
Think I'd have been having a bit of an argument with Mr Plod...

Fingers crossed the Thomson ones will come down for that date although you can go this week for £69........ Or we could go somewhere civilised like Madeira even cheaper.
Are all women as thick as mine? Apparently Patsys passport ran out in September. Fortunately I didnt book the flight yet. Also she works next to the passport office in Peterborough so enough time I guess.

Re: What are you doing today??
Answer, Yes...
Some years back when I lived in Scotland I met this woman, after going out for a few months we decide to go on holiday, booked a last minute deal about a fortnight before the departure date, few days to go pre the flight she digs out her passport, it's expired...
Back then you couldn't do this pre book appointment last minute thing with the passport office, you had to just go and queue, oh, passport office in Scotland's in Glasgow, we lived Edinburgh,,, so both us take an extra day off work (I'm the driver) and off we head to Glasgow, got to passport office pretty early, I just park up in a side street nearby with a view of just moving the car if a parking warden turns up,,, four hours later she arrives back, no passport,,, she'd stood in the queue, gets to the counter, her paperworks all checked and found to be ok,,, then she's told to come back tomorrow to pick it up,,, she explains predicament were in that this is Thursday and we fly Saturday and that we live in Edinburgh,,, Come back tomorrow...
So that's what we had to do...
So again women and passports, Yes, got the t-shirt...

Dont forget important things like wedding anniversary though do they? Bought a new combo microwave from AO.com last week, guaranteed delivery Monday and they text you what time its getting here. Got a text, sorry we dont have your delivery yet, still in Stoke. Just been tracking it, yesterday it made it to Birmingham and this morning to Peterborough. I live in hope.
Going to Wallsall and Northampton later, could have picked the fecker up eh?

Re: What are you doing today??
I'm going out to Cumbernauld in my own time to see if I can get permission from someone who won't answer letters to replace a decayed telephone pole in his property. He's not with BT so I can't even get his phone number to give him a call. Twat! He works all week too so he's never in when I visit and to cap it all, he has security gates with camera so we can't even get in!

Can you not just put a pole up outside and re route all the cables, then the old pole is down to him,
Bypass the Kent so to speak

No, if we move the pole then the existing cables/wires won't reach and would have to be renewed and transferred over. Twice the time and the expense. No matter! I got him in and gave him my famous withering look and he says we can go ahead!

Re: What are you doing today??
Stopped off at M&S on the way back and got a nice set of pans by using a voucher we got for Christmas. Oh, and we went into the cafe for a coffee and a bacon roll. "It's in the fridge", she says. So it was...seems they just reheat them somehow. It was surprisingly nice! Either that or I was really hungry!
