Last night I won a competition for the post on our new kitchen. I'm bloody chuffed to bits. Won free place on a 10 week long course on marketing with the phone number to ring anytime to a lecturer on business/marketing in Sheffield University and they will build me a new website. The guy said my numbers were so high he spent an hour trying to find how I cheated and in fact, spotted a genius trick that I quite frankly didn't know was anything special, that he will tell his students. this was the photo

Today I went to Toolstation for a Hozelock spray gun as one of my workers stood on my old one as he was mixing cement. As I was collecting it, the project manager arrived and fell out with my main workman who has been here for the last month. End result is he has told him where to stick his job. He will work until end of play today and isn't coming back. Feck knows what happens now as project manager had skedaddled by the time I got back. This is the guy who was laying my patio slabs and path...

Having struggled to get my Freelander through MOT this past month its now decided to break down. Clutch not working. Its the sealed for life hydraulic system, life being 18 years then. Auto shops all closed down and ebay will take a week on delivery but lucky someone was selling clutch with hydraulics in Cambridge so I duly bid, won it for £49.99 and collected it yesterday. Now installed on Freelander and working. Reason for Panic? Tomorrow is Trackday at Snetterton and Freelander is only legal towcar I got. Phew........

Been to Costco what a faff, them call Center types don't like being told how to behave but the guy on the door hates them and makes it difficult as he can, I like him and he knows it
