DIY haircut completed. Its a number 6. Looks OK but saved £6 anyway. Boarding cards printed and Ryanair have kindly let me and Patsy sit together although if there are any suntans sat nearby we will be moving anyway. 2 weeny bags packed and we are ready for takeoff 6.15am on Sunday. I am taking my new mini laptop with me so I will let you all know whats going on out there.

Just about to set off to the Ford garage. Need a new rear fog lamp unit, lens is broken. Going to get it fitted too. Appointment at 0800hrs.

All done and dusted, came back and filled all the bird feeders. We have wee coal tits along with the usual sparrows and starlings now. I need to buy a new suet cake, they've scoffed the last one, not a bit left. Plenty fatballs though...

We were doing that mega staircase today. the hall is  double height with the upeer staircase wrapping around. Marcques was on top of my 8ft steps, holding onto a spindle while brushing in the detailing on another spindle. The one he was holding gave way and he went arse over head off the ladder. He hit the bannister and steps on way down and fell down half the stairs to the floor. I nearly broke my feckin neck trying to get down to him as fast as I could. He was on his feet by the time I got to the bottom holding out his arm and roaring , and I mean ROARING at me to pull. He had dislocated his shoulder and wanted me to pop it back in while he was still in shock. I yanked his arm 3 times and voia!!Feckin awful sound that shoulder going back in. ANd he sprained his wrist. While he was walking around , still in shock, he knocked over a can of white spirits, a bottle of  meths and a paint kettle of satinwood. "FFS, I said, is there anything you dont want to knock". There was an empty paint can near me so I booted it for effect . Turns out it wasn't empty and i splashed paint all over the wall.  . Anyway, the man is a feckin animal. He was a lucky boy today though!

Dermot you were also very lucky HSE would have a field day

We love it Dermot, the food is 1st class in the bar it all comes from the Renndesvous restaurant upstairs which is class and very reasonably priced as are the drinks, you would love it D as you understand the lingo {jock}

He wasnt on the very top of the ladder. . I wouldn't mind I was just after spraying the handrail. I had to do the feckin thing all over again

Oh Dermot what a shame for Marques. He will be out of action then. You will be extra busy.

Nope, he will be there at 8am tomorrow morning. even one handed he is still better than most. The new guy and me will have to take up the slack. Only trouble is new guy has 2 weeks experience. ( though he is a hard worker )
