Re: What are you doing today??
Curiosity got me thinking today how much have I spent in last four weeks of lockdown compared to the same four week period last year, in my calculation I took out what I would call standing costs such as council tax, water, electricity, etc,,, included were cash machine withdrawals mainly spent in pub, food and drink bought supermarkets and meals out,,, checking bank statements my spend last four weeks is 50% of same period a year ago, and to be honest me and Sharon having a pretty good time, lots of good food and wine etc...

Re: What are you doing today??
Freelander failed. I was a bit surprised really even though its 22 years old. He found some rust in the sills that I had failed to spot, easy enough little job. Number plate light not working although it was before I took it there and is now...... Both bulbs. Plus nearside front brake pipe. Only about 12 inches of it is rusty the rest is encased in a rubber tube and is perfecto but its steel pipe. I dont have a tool to flare the ends of steel pipe so I will have to replace the whole lot of it from the wheel to the antilock brake thingy, about 8 foot with copper tube that as luck would have it I have in stock along with end fittings and a tool that flares copper tube.. I have been soaking the joint near the wheel where it goes into the flexi tube with WD40 for the past couple of days but it still dont wanna shift, grrrr. Had some success today on another job. Offside rear suspension swing arm on VW T3 camper. Swing arm is rusty with holes but I can repair it with welding but body fecked as well where it joins. Just a bit more fabrication and welding. Had to cut the swing arm off with grinder but that leaves the big fat rubber thingy whatever it called stuck in the joint which must be removed. Got gas blow lamp on it and eventually burned enough rubber to get it out. Great fun. I got loads of panels to fit to this. Might start a photo blog of progress. Will it be finished before I die? Maybe,,,,,,if Crono dont get me first....

came to office at 6.00am to do few things that can only be done from there, then home to powerwash wall & finish painting fence ( high bits wife will not go up steps to do )
Then we will celebrate our wedding anniversary with a nice steak pie and a glass of milk ( life in the fast lane ) followed some more social distancing
