So far I've kept my expectations rather low and I haven't been disappointed!

Re: What are you doing today??
So went onto manage my booking as instructed tried to enter change of dates and was told I have to call the call centre to do the change. Amazingly I get thru right away give the details and was told that there is a priced difference on the booking but that I would not receive the differance as the May booking is cheaper thats fine says I. I was told I would have to go on to the new booking and do the cases etc etc and that I would be charged I said but I already have booked these was informed they only change the flights everything else has to be paid again. I am nae happy but what choice is there, any one had this before ??angusjim wrote:So decision has been made we are not going to Tenerife 30th of this month wife has had a bad reaction to a procedure she got in hospital this week and with this and all the other crap / changes going on enough is enough. We will take the hit on the cost ( flights were no cheap ) we can rebook another flight but will come no where near the cost of these so nae sunshine for us this year, merry friggin christmas and a happy flipping new year
I put a complaint form in but it takes 28days to get a reply and this has to be changed by 17/12/20

Dear James,
Thank you for contacting easyJet.
I understand that you looking for baggage allowance.
As the price paid for the new change in dates is comparatively less than the original booking amount, we are unable to club balance amount or replace them with baggage.
As easyJet being an economical airline its fare are non-refundable and dynamic.
In regards the baggage and seats you'll need to pay for the difference in amount.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Kind regards,
Heston

Re: What are you doing today??
Seems like there was a mix up with my understanding of the initial call and that along with changing the flight dates that they automatically transfer the seat bookings etc and luggage at no cost. So its all done nowCampbell Brodie wrote:angusjim wrote:Nae body comes between a Scotsman and a couple hundred quid I am nae finished yetCampbell Brodie wrote:Nae luck Jim.

Re: What are you doing today??
Yesterday now, Tuesday, done Trackday at Snetterton. Track slippery as hell in the morning but better in the afternoon. Generally sunny about 10c. Beginning to realise I am well outclassed at these events. By far the slowest out there. Some serious racing type cars are the norm now. Guys parked next to me in paddock had a lovely BMW. Its not lovely anymore. All the plastic parts on the front smashed including both wings, airbags deployed, screen and both side windows smashed. My car cost £219 on ebay, multiply that bt 10 to repair that BMW. Yeah, I'm outclassed.

Re: What are you doing today??
With what your saying about BMW I think it's gonna cost more than two grand to fix, take it he went straight in to barrier or rear ended someone,,, if side windows have popped I'd say main body shell is probably fecked,,, My son done track days on his road bike a thirty grand brand new Ducati Moto GP road version,,, l thought this is gonna end in tears, but no he sold it,,, bought a secondhand Kawasaki cost about nine grand, still done track days,,, dropped it,,, about five grand of damage,,, could have been worse,,, could have been the Ducati.....

Re: What are you doing today??
Bloke said the airbags blew out the windows! He hit armco barrier head on. Racing types I'm sure it will soon be as good as new......... I hit the barrier at Mallory Park 3 weeks ago, exact same damage as last time I did it. Marshalls there never said a dickie bird about it, I just carried on after fixing it with crowbar and hammer. But at Snetterton they made me cover it with gaffer tape. Said something about sharp edges which is interesting as you dont come across many pedestrians on a race track.

Re: What are you doing today??
Took Patsys Fiat 500 for MOT. It passed. Purchased a new smart phone so I can keep up with the youngsters although Patsy is paying for it. Purchased a Trackday for January 9th at Bedford Autodrome. Went panic buying in Supermarket and got ALL the grub for Christmas. Wedged it all in the fridge. A lovely stork of sprouts from farm shop too. So now I can relax, stick 2 fingers up to the French and wait for the Governmant to replenish my wallet.
