He purports to be a investigative journalist for Granada tv. I don't know any more about him but I instinctively feel he is not what he says he is. What does all this mean to me? Has he an hidden agenda? This guy seem intent on dragging P.B.V. down. He says it a great place but then and continually says it is now desecrated by El Barranco and talks of depressed property prices as a result. My sis wanting to sell is not being helped by this. Can anyone throw some light on this? He also goes on quite a lot and knows a lot about some singer Joel David. Hope this has not bored you. TM

Re: Pebble Beach Village
Don't know if we would be able to throw light on who he is TM, but at least maybe here , some people might get to hear the other side of things. Have read that El Barranco thread on TF. Jack Oakley puts forward a strong case and seems to have investigated thoroughly. I'd like to hear from other owners in Pebble Beach to see what they think.

Re: Pebble Beach Village
Why would Barranco have any different problem here than in say Golf de sur, as very close.
I had a friend stay there last year and loved it, not my cuppa but only because I choose the hussle and bussle.
Looked nice when I went for a drive and could see no problem.

Re: Pebble Beach Village
I have just looked at the thread about El Barranco for the first time - skimmed through because I find Jack's posts very hard to read.
Interesting when you search for what he is up to the only thing that comes up is Tenerife, yet he says he is in Portugal, the Caymen Islands etc searching out other scams. If he is an investigative journalist are there not other ways of highlighting the problem other than a letter to Tenerife News or using a forum.
Perhaps our resident estate agent can assist in the sale of your sister's property or at least recommend an agent who deals with properties in the area.

welcome to the forum t m.well thats the best introduction i have ever read on any forum.hope you get to the bottom of it ,masterspy. quite sure cam will find a suitable avatar for you.truth.man wrote:I am male in my early somethings (thats for me to know) I work for the police. (not an officer) Can't divulge where. I work within organised crime and my particular forte being internet crime. I have, although reluctantly, registered to seek a little information. (DOK's suggestion) My sister is an owner in P.B.V. and is trying to sell. Its not that she doesn't like it, she loves it. The sale is for personal reasons. She is somewhat a timid person and has always looked to me for help and support. Having stayed in her apartment a few times and got to know and like the area I tried to find more out about Tenerife and found the other forum. You know the one. Sorry! I noticed many postings about El Barranco which is not far from my sisters place. These were made by someone going by the name of Jack Oakley.

Welcome to our little forum TM.
ALL are genuine people on here and not bullshitters (unlike elsewhere).
Sorry I can't help with your problem, but good luck anyway.

No no, I meant that Ecky might have more knowledge on the subject than anyone else. He seemed to keep up with all the posts about it

I could do that, he is a mate, not a talk everyday mate but passing on the odd joke etc so if I was that way inclined I could email him and ask him to look in and see if he knows anything. Are we really that interested

I would contact him if I really believed it was important but as it is I think there are enough people who look in that could pass on a message even before I opened my email account
