Went to post office to get new road tax for Patsy, proffered her cheque. Thats no good its gone up £5. But it says £120 on the form. Went up in the budget. Grrrrrrr. As I handed over a fiver I said 'better get myself some Polish number plates and solve the problem'. That went down like a lead balloon.

Well not really what am I doing today, but what we were talking about it in the early hours of this morning in the snooker club (playing pool and drinking beer), one of mates got paid off just over a month ago, he started new job last week working for a very large UK company, the job, relocation of their call center, no, not to some cheap third world country, but in three countries around the globe, the Netherlands, America and somewhere else around the back of the planet, reasons, 1.. So staff will work normal 8 to 5 shifts rather than the three shift system in place in the UK at present, but still give customers 24 hour access, (staff will be happier at work, so customers should get better service), 2.. Big savings for the company in not paying premium rates for out of normal hours working... On the down side, a lot of UK jobs lost... But is my mate bothered, no, he’s looking forward to a good few benders around the globe...
