Re: What are you doing today??
We did call in to the Leper colony and show Diggy and Gaz, then we went to Anaga, to Taganana lovely restaurant and had barbequed food. It was exceptional and with 3 drinks each and 4 of us the bill was ony 56 euro. Two of us had barbequed meat which was various meats with roasted peppers and canarian pots. One had barbequed Tuna, with peppers, mussels, King prawn and canarian pots. The other had a lovely white fish of the day, which also had mussels, prawns, roast peppers and canarian pots. We also had fresh bread and Mojo sauces. This is a great find, so much food. 5 pints, 3 cokes, 2 bottles of mineral water 2 coffee's.

At Taganana you are still on the tourist trail, German anyway. Keep driving about and you will find more, the more remote from Brits the better. You should take photos too like Gypsy, just the food like.Topdog wrote:We did call in to the Leper colony and show Diggy and Gaz, then we went to Anaga, to Taganana lovely restaurant and had barbequed food. Not far from you is Ifonche, couple up there. One on a crossroads looked the biz but was full to over flowing with Spanish, probably a weekend or bank holiday, pick a weekday evening is best, when its not cloudy. No cats-eyes or white lines up there and sometimes the road falls away..........

Agree PS, there are a couple of places in Ifonche, the one just next to the walk at the start of the Barranco del Infierno is a rip off if he can get away with it. That is this one
But this place that is on the Escalona road going into Ifonche is lovely, they do great food really cheap but to the best of my knowledge only open during the day and on a night until it starts to get dusk. so no going there for an evening meal.

Today Mathew i have been Sherlock Holmes, I tracked down the MG i paid for in July, Its in San Luis Obispo California, The guy that owns it said a deposit was paid and that was the last they heard of him, He is willing to sell me my car I fired off an email to the English crook telling him to refund my $$$ tomorro and deduct the deposit he paid, That will have given him a bowel movement for sure, If i pull this off i wil save myself a few ££££, Mr USA can deal with the shipping too,
His father is from Manchester UK, So is mine i said,
We may even be related and that will bring in a family rate, Dont rush me he said
