Went into Galway and ended up going here for a bite to eat. They have a new menu and new prices, very feckin expensive prices. Food was lovely but way too dear. I had a cod fillet with colcannon and veg - 20 feckin euro. Eileen had chicken fajitas ( 3 wraps with meal ) - 17 euro!

It was the hampering of weather and road works that stopped me Cam. The weather was awful and at one stage for about 20 mile the visibilty was nil.

Carvery was yum, three very large slices of either ham, beef or chicken, I went for two of beef and one ham, all the veg, peas, onions, cabage, carrots, cauliflower cheese, mash and roast potatoes you can eat topped with gravy , plus a bit mustard and mint sauce on the side, £4.49,,, the same meal on a Sunday costs £7.99...
After carvery we moved on to a local pub with a pool table, good few games of pool, then a band started to set up, well it wasn't actually a band, there were about seven of them, they took turns at singing either individually or in groups of either two/three etc, up to all seven of them, all very tallented, one girl was outstanding, played gutar and sung in a sort of Joan Baez / Jodie Mitchelll style, we left to get the last tram back in to town (we had return tickets), didnt happen, ordered taxi to get us from pub to tram stop, that would cost about six quid, then it's two trams that take about forty five minutes, other half's not on for the muck about of the tram ride, asks taxi driver how much to takes straight home, thirty quid, no way I say, I'm sitting with tram tickets in my pocket, a bit negotiation then took place, twenty quid was agreed,,, so straight home it was, if I"d bloody known we were going to do that I'd have still been in pub untill the band finished,,, Arghhhhhhhh...
All in all a very good day out, did go through a fair bit of cash, but no hangover despite having my fair share of beer and wine...
Hic...

I know it's quite dear, but it looks a smashing place. Wouldn't mind trying that sometime.

On our last trip the baggage handlers ripped one side of our cases top handle off ,just replaced the stud and washers for the princely sum of 50 pence, a good job and a cheap job

Been to our new bank now Lloyds has joined Sabadell and sorted out online banking. I checked my accounts in front of Raul who showed me how to cancel a bill I wasn´t happy with, took all of 2 seconds to get the money back in my account. Now the B's can wait until I decide they can have the money not just take it. Brilliant.
