Re: What are you doing today??
Today in town i found myself looking for call centre types with rucksacks, I told Janet to watch who was near too, what a way to live, Quite a few young blokes with Soldier type wear on, I wanted to clap them, One old kid who could barely walk had medals and poppys on, he was shuffling round the shopping centre, I wanted to put my arms round him, he looked defiant and past caring what happened to him,

Thought you would have a wood burning stove or even an open fire, seems a waste

Re: What are you doing today??
I have something that looks like a log burner that runs on calor gas, never tried it as not got round to drilling a hole in the wall for a gas pipe. Looks right nice in the open fireplace though. Now if I try and light a fire the house will fill with smoke due to cement falling out and leaving holes in chimney stack. Yep its a waste but I press a button and the oil central heating bursts into life, its the simple option. Well until the boiler dies anyway, its now nearly 20 years old but has only ever needed one spare part. I have noticed they now cost over 2k so in the event it dies one day before me it will be replaced with a woodburner.Mcqueen wrote:Thought you would have a wood burning stove or even an open fire, seems a waste

I only have an 18v battery chainsaw Reg, it can do Leylandi and small branches but that boat was built in 1965 out of proper hardwood. All the nice bits that unscrewed, and they did as well with those proper old brass screws were saved. ........ And the screws!

Is the food you get better? I saw the plate of so called food on Gypsys post and could make out peas mixed with sweet corn and what may have been a ropey looking bit of cauliflower but the rest I couldnt be sure about.

Re: What are you doing today??
All i want is cover if Janet or myself gets cancer or heart trouble, Hips and knees i can deal with,
You cant get cover for existing problems which we dont have, But my diabetis and Janets pernitious annemia we have to wait 2 years trouble free, But they wont make it clear about wether any heart problems would be un covered because of diabetes, I want it in black and white,
Health care is the biggest thing complained about, Cover you for what you dont need basicly,
