Re: What are you doing today??
Good that things are starting Cam. I just got a phone call that the carer who goes to my folks in the morning will be starting a new job on Monday. That leaves us in the lurch. The lady's agency hasn't had the feckin courtesy to ring us to let us know. The lady herself wanted to say goodbye personally and couldn't believe we hadn't been notified by her HQ.

Re: What are you doing today??
Lined up Movistar then heard we are having something to all apartments, might have been fibre wots its but i'm not sure, so the Tv, phones, and tinternet will be of this century, but dont hold your breath,
today i went out foraging again, i had a small list compiled and got most of it,
Back to base and thought i would make a sandwich, (I can do that) Brown bap, ham cheese and tomato and a squirt of colmans mustard, what could possibly go wrong, well i keep my cream for anul injurys next to the tube of mustard in the fridge, at the moment everything is fine in the Alan Wickers but if i didnt bring it i would be stood in line at the chemists and when it would be my turn to be served i would pull a sad face and point at my derrier , so good job i have been well taught in the fine art of dinning and put a line on the side of my plate and not all over my sarnie,
So i sat in my shorts at the table looking out to sea and listening to the chatter of people enjoying themselves feeling smug and happy my lunch was saved, now think about me getting up in the dark and smearing mustard all over my rim and associated regions Feck me

At least a week Minty, so I'll be incommunicado. I think Dermo is going to keep doing the daily boring stuff that needs uploading. (Thanks Dermo! )

Re: What are you doing today??
Finished yesterday off by getting beat to a pulp by a black guy 70 euro for an hour,
sports massage innit, my left foot has been giving me pain for a month or more, its the ligament behind the calf muscle that is the problem, that pulls on the ligament under the foot, now being diabetic one has to be careful with the outer regions, or you end up minus a leg or two, so i thought while i am in Tenerife i would get some tlc. back in for some more on monday when i dont feel a bruised.
Being a glutton fpr punishment i thought i would get some spanish red tape this morning,
The adminastrator emailed Janet and said kindly register the new property for the busura being emptied never done that before - WTF, so i breezed into the culture centre with NIE, passport ,Escitura, what could possibly go wrong now i go upstairs to pay the rates so thats where i headed, Wrong downstairs go outside turn right and there you go, Feck it was one of those ticket jobs and i just knew i would end up in the wrong place or cubicle, no he said your in the right spot, handed over the paper work and sat back. then he gets his calculator out and starts tapping away turns out i have never payed feck all for the bins emptying, I thought it was same as the uk where you pay your rates and that covers it all, Nah it dont work like that,
So then he says that will be 900 euro's WTF, he seemed to enjoy it and i thought about that lass in the utube spanish red tape clip.Oh and the machine is broke so we need cash as he slipped my new escitura out of reach so i had to go out and get cash and go back again, Feck me.
So when i left i sat on the bench outside sobbing uncontrolably, an old lass said "Oh whatevers the matter young man" I told her and she sat with me sobbing too pretty soon there was 5 of us all sobbing, the police was called and we were told to move on, 900 feck me
I went back to base camp and made another sandwich nodded off for a bit, and here i am.

Re: What are you doing today??
Jeez Reg, no luck pal! See what happens when you go legal! Anyway, I've been traipsing all over Dunfermline's shops looking for old fashioned pyjamas for hospital. Very few places have them nowadays, it's all them "lounge suit" crap, a pair of shorts with a t-shirt to go! Ended up with something out of Primark that'll do for the week I need them.

Re: What are you doing today??
Cam in my great experiance of hospitals feck all will happen on the first day, you may get a long line of people coming by to look at your charts, shake their heads and walk off, the aneathatist will do some tests to work out how much to give you, dont matter they never get it right your either out for days or you wake up with your appendix next to you anyway what your having not many people die from it, so i wish you all the best and the main thing is dont worry

Re: What are you doing today??
Busura,,, when I bought my place out there the estate agent said next time your over we need to fix out your "Busura", so as requested I drop in to their office with the paperwork next time we're out, so off me and one of the girls from their office who spok Spanish head off to the town hall, yip I remember the ticket queuing system, our turn comes up, so up to the counter we go, a stern looking woman sat the other side of the counter, my paper works handed over, I can tell by the conversation and hand gestures somethings going tits up,,, the property don't show on the computer, the clerk is saying its probally too new and is not on their system yet, l say it's three years old and I'm the second owner, I recall looking at her computer screen, the complex is registered to a different street address than my property actually stood on, I point this out, nope, the street my property sits on don't exist says the clerk, I say it dose cos I'm living there... More people get involved, there's a lot of conversation between the people behind the counter with them dissapearing in to back offices for ages, eventually they confirm the property does exist and has been there three years, and they want the busura costs for that period,,, no way, I bought the place two months ago I say, pre that not my problem,,, it's all hands in the air again and a lot of Spanish,,, three hours later we leave the town hall, problem not resolved,,, it took six months, I ended up paying twenty odd euros back busura costs...
Fecking load of rubbish if you ask me...

Re: What are you doing today??
Took my brother and his wife down to Craigielaw for lunch , the club steward was the steward at Broomieknowe ,my brothers golf course , what a lovely time we had , John ,my brother and John the steward had lots of catching up to do and they chewed the fat for ages, lunch was lovely but the coffee is awful, must get in touch with an old freind of mine who works for Tchibo and get him to drop in and sort them out, it was John.s first visit to Graigielaw and he was well impressed , before we left he got all the gen about bargain breaks so it won't be long before they have a long weekend down there, lovely day had by all

Re: What are you doing today??
Just watched Match of the Day. That was feckin' awful yet again by United. Everyone seems to be using Rooney as a scapegoat. No mention of the manager who continues to play him week in week out. Sir Matt must be doing somersaults in his grave watching that turgid tripe.
