Our balcony as well as having a sea view also overlooks the sun bed and small pool area at the rear  of the building, got to say dropping a jug of water on someone lying on a sunbed has crossed my mind...

To many fecking things on the land that can do it as well, Annie got bitten stupid first day, I say it's normally me they go for,,, should have kept my gob shut, I got it the next day, we've got the fu#k off bug stuff now so hopefully that should be it...

I still have the bumps and scars from 3 weeks ago, just finished the penicillin course bassas

Wasn't gonna mention it but since Mcqueens  brought it up we had a "medical day"  Tuesday, Annie first got all the bites, some of them went nasty looking so we buy a roll on antiseptic stick from a  mickey mouse chemist, done no feckin good, 9.5€ down the tube,,, couple of days later she's says she's got a sore throat and is feeling either very hot or very cold, wakes up Tuesday morning and it's like she's got  half a boiled egg stuck to the side of her neck,,, she wants to go chemist and get antibiotics, I say you can't do that now, we're going medical clinic Los Cristianos  cos due to this very informative forum that's seemingly the place to go,,, so off we set by bus E111 card in hand, plan being after clinic we make a day of it down there,,, as we cross the road from the bus station I say the clinic is just there pointing towards it, we get to door of clinic, I say I'm just gonna sit here in bar next to it and have a pint while you get sorted out... So we part company, I sit down at table right next to clinic door and get myself a pint,,, seconds later she's back, I think somethings gone tits up,,, she, "you idiot, thought you knew your way around here, that's a boob job and face lift clinic"", me slightly confused "what you mean",,, "It's a cosmetic surgery clinic you w-----",,, "well feck knows when it changed to that" I say, plus I point to the people coming in and out saying " they don't look like cosmetic surgery types"... She's been to a place about twenty five yards or so down the street with a "Clinic" sign above it, that's what she'd seen when I was pointing out the real one,,, asked her if she'd got a price for a boob job,,, didn't go down well...
So in she goes to the right place, ten minutes or so later she's back,,, I think again that was quick,,, she's got a ticket in her hand, fifteen people before her just to get to the reception desk, only one had been seen in the ten minutes she had sat there, so she orders an orange juice, that downed back in she goes,,, I'm on my second pint now, out she comes, mmmm, not bad I think, No, they want to see her passport, arghhhhh, Ah, I remember, you took a photo of your passport in your phone, back in she goes, no good, they want to photo copy the real thing...
Back to the hotel, when we return to clinic I say I gonna head Harriott's as they have Internet, in there for about fifteen minutes, she's  back, bit paper in her hand, "I've to go back at three" (that's about a hours time" , I have a look at the scribbled note she has, don't look like it says she's to be back at three to me,,, I ask one of the waitresses who speaks Spanish to have a look at it,,, " room 3 nurse 4",,, get back there you muppet before you lose your space...
She's back in about half an hour, nurse done the basics, temp, blood pressure etc, then the doc sees her, prescription for antibiotics, something to stabilise her temperature  can't remember what it's called and antiseptic cream for the spots,,, cost us about 7€ at the chemist for the lot,,, due to language difficulty we don't know exactly what problem was but I don't think it was flu symptoms, she ain't got a cold or anything, more like an infection due to the bites...
Funny bit, when she woke up Tuesday morning she didn't want to go to the doctor/ clinic, she just wanted to go to a chemists, I said "No", doctor and let's get this sorted, we ain't spoiling the holiday, she says "but I've had nightmares all night, if I go to the doctors they'll put me back in the hospital"...

The funny bit...

Don't know if you seen these sea scooter things, but ther are six of them on the deck of the boat and a crane on the boat to lower them in to the sea, I thought you would probably get on the thing when it's on the deck and be lowered in to the sea on it, but no, they lower the scooters in to the sea and sink them so they are about two feet under the water, then you jump off the boat, there's a guy in full scuba gear in the sea holding the scooter steady for you, you then have to go under the water and approach the scooter from below so your head comes up in the glass bubble bit then you position your arse on the seat... Annie wants me to go first, glad I did cos Ive got a underwater grandstand view of what happens next, Annie goes down under the scooter but as she comes up her head misses the bubble bit, she's trying to find her way in but not making a good job of it, we've got wet suits on, guy grabs her by the kneck and arse as if she's getting chucked out a bar and throws her on/in to the thing,,, oh to have had a camera...

Off to A&E with Shona and her toes. First dose of antibiotics didn't work. She was put on double strength and 2 different antibiotics since. Eileen reckons the toes are improving but I'm not so sure. Shona started feeling dizzy yesterday evening and dizzy and weak during the night. Dr. said if she started to feel ill, to bring her in, so hospital here we come. Eileen will bring her. I have to take care of my folks today. Never ending story innit

Yip, just like taking Annie on holiday innit, day trips to medical centres, hospitals and chemists...



Hope all gets sorted out...

Today Mathew it's the beach, sun bed, brollie, a good book and a big bottle of chilled water to prevent dehydration...

That's Annie sorted , then I'm of to the sports bar for the footy...
