No, still there and being pretty good with the booze, only had a couple Guinness's, and seemed to be on this planet...

Had also heard Derek had given up the Times, but headed down there the other night just to see what was on , and it was still Derek, told him I'd heard he wasn't there any more, what had happend was he was sick of running/playing there, said the money was great but had no family time, so he gave up the lease and went back to just gigging there, he was on good form and we were gonna head the Claddagh for a couple with Gerry once he'd finished in the Times, they don't play to silly o'clock now, but we phoned Gerry first to see. if it was still lively there only to be told he was having a night off, so piss up cancelled...

Today Mathew I'm kicking myself, if you recalling I said eight days or so back only thing wrong with hotel was shit Internet, could only pick it up in reception an even then it was hit and miss, so iv been heading to a bar across the road from the hotel daily to log in, obviously have to have two or three pints, don't want to look tight do you,,, well last night as Annie's taking forever to get ready I pour myself  a wine, go sit on balcony with iPad to play some scrabble games that will send to my opponents next time iPad picks up Internet, feck me, I'm logged on out on the balcony, perfect internet,,, were on the top floor, above us is a solarium area, we're there now, right above our room on the sunbeds, fecking great big Internet transmitter above our heads,,, arghhhh, feck knows how much I've spent in that bar across the road,,, fridge in room getting restocked with beer for last few days...

Student rang "Reg we have a mouse in the kitchen cupboard" I nearly said "and" but i like to keep a good rep with the agent, so i went round, 2 0f them stood looking at the cupboard like it was going to explode
So i thought right i'm getting a laugh out of this, slowly i opened the door and screamed out  Ahhh
Them 2 tarts jumped up in the air and i just fell about laughing feck me  then i pulled out Lexies water pistol and started shooting into the cupboard, they ended up holding on to each other,
Then i got serious, yes you have a mouse, il get a man round, He's been and put some poison traps down, he said dont leave food out or if the mouse walks over it you will end up with big ears,
I'm sure they believed him, Jeez they are the future

Well it was our last Saturday here, running out out of time if anybody's up for a pint or two...

Two more sleeps left and it's back to rip off land...

Today Mathew I got absolutely shit faced last night, think it's got something to do with being on countdown to coming home, Oh, did I mention we're in Tenerife    ,,, something that has annoyed me about our hotel, health and feckin safety gone mad, yellow wet floor feckin signs everywhere, and the floor ain't even feckin wet,,, told Annie I'm gonna collect them all and put them in our bath full of water when we go,,, well last night, or to be more accurate this morning about four o'clock I started, to get from the hotel entrence to our room we've got to negotiate a zig zaggy path through the swimming pool area, and guess what, Its infested with wet feckin floor signs, well being an engineer I know the quickest way from one point to an another is a straight line, so beautifully I dive in to the pool, whole length under water, out the other end like a lion pouncing on its prey and Ive got my first yellow sign in hand,,, so there I am fully dressed, soaking wet, sign under arm waiting for the lift,,, that's when I discover the security guard ain't got a sence of humour, took my sign off me he did...
Shoes, money, bank cards are drying fine in this sunshine, plus Annie's almost talking to me again...

Today Mathew I did not throw a water ballon at someone on a sun bed five floors below me,,, but there was a half dead bee doing the back stroke on the balcony floor and when it landed on the guys leg five floors down it had rather the same effect...

OK Mathew, six Anadins in I'm almost back on the planet, we'd decided last day was going to be an easy one, breakfast, which somehow we made it to despite only getting back to hotel a couple of hours before they started serving it, then as planed rooftop solarium all day only having a break for lunch, deal we're on we can either have breakfast and lunch or breakfast and evening meal, today we chose lunch so we can have a nice meal out tonight,,, so in the few hours between breakfast and lunch we're on the sunbeds, I'm having a grade one listed hangover, Annie's snoozing away on the sunbed nothing on but her bikini bottom and a smile, that's when the devil got the better of me, her bikini ties at both sides, so, being an ex Boy Scout I'm good with knots, so I untie the one closest to me,,, fell asleep then didn't I, only to be awoken by "You fu#king bas#ard",,, missed it didn't I, wasn't my fault she needed to go to the bar for some water was it...

My spanish bank statements came this morning Right i thought i want my monies worth  
So i emailed the complex administrator for a breakdown of costs, i could feel them cringe from the UK,
But they were quite good and sent costs right away, but they forgot i was in credit and didnt deduct it,
well after 6 emails we got to the end, I felt i upset enough folk and relaxed,

My daughter and her OH decided they liked a telescope in Aldi's and would we get it for their Christmas a s a joint present for both of them. Perfect, I thought, that's them 2 sorted. Aldi's opens at 0900 hrs. I went in at 0903 and walked up and down the aisles lokking for telescope. No sign...stop an Aldi employee, "where are the telescopes?" I said. "We only got one in and it's gone." He said. I was not a happy chappy to say the least, we get e-mails from Aldi telling us about their deals and we'd waited about 2 weeks for this one. Still, Argos have about 9 different ones, so they'll just have to choose one of those.

Just seen the advert for them at Aldi,
