So we will have to go to GDS to have a pint? We were meant to be staying opposite San Telmo. Hope it improves before then. Mind you, the Claddagh is due to open Aug 1st but at 50% capacity. Where did you and Kev go drinking?Perfectspecimen wrote:Back from 2 weeks in Tenerife yesterday. Couldnt get good enough wifi on my laptop so didnt post reports. Here goes: Last couple of days mid 30s which is bloody hot. Majority of Golf del Sur is open but most bars and restaurants in the main resorts remain closed. On the plus side traffic is light. Airport is still very quiet with most outlets closed but duty free is open. Ryanair going out was about 40% full but coming back with Jet 2 was only 30 of us. An hour delay as they chucked off one drunk with blood coming out of his leg and bruised arm. Drink or drugs, probably both.

Re: What are you doing today??
Pub opposite Kevs was a regular drinking spot. Tamaimo or something similar its called. Football, nice cheap beer but sadly some biting flies. Never seen them before and they loved me. Locals sat at the bar and a room full of them playing dominoes. The most 'normal' place we came across. Second day we stumbled upon a happy hour that lasted for 3 in Grandee O'Donnels opposite my place, €1 pint of Dorada. Needless to say I took full advantage. Sadly it had gone back to €2 by the next day. I am back in my apartment now. Had to spend a few hundred putting things right including a missing TV set. Got a new 32" one for €109. Its not smart but then neither am I lol. If you look at the label quick it looks like Grundig. Done a bit of Karaoke in Sundowners. 4 different coloured mike covers, I guess they get sanitised. Unexpectedly won a quiz as well. Didnt cheat guv. To sum up its well worth going its just a bit different and its fecking hot in those masks. Have to wear them in shops and on the plane, although I didnt have it on properly. Fred is moving out there next month, driving down to Huelva with his dog and getting the ferry. I will be there soon after to make sure he understands the rules...... I am enjoying my bottles of blue Smirnoff I got on the plane coming home.3rdforum wrote:So we will have to go to GDS to have a pint? We were meant to be staying opposite San Telmo. In garden all day. Grass cut and strimmed, both patios power-washed, (bird shit all over), plants all watered. 2 bags of rough bark laid down at storage area behind next door neighbour's shed. Birdies all fed and watered, probably the same ones that are shitting on my patios.

Some of my grass was a foot high. Mower and me struggled a bit. Must have been raining a lot when I was away. Got Jet2 tickets for August 23rd. 18 days this time. £89.

Re: What are you doing today??
I have a guy comes and cuts my grass once a fortnight, he was due Monday but it pissed down all day so he didn't show. I cut the grass myself yesterday as I wasn't sure when he'd cut it. he's here this morning! BTW, I cut it myself twice in between his cuts...
