Re: What are you doing today??
Dont bother filling out that form online for coming back to UK. I decided to be a rebel and not fill it in. Nobody stopped me. That was Birmingham. Previously not collected at Stansted either. You DO need the QR code for TFS though, they scan it. Next trip is Dec 6th from Stansted and with a bit of luck they will do PCR tests there like they do at Gatwick and Newcastle.

You get it when you fill in the Spanish form. Print it, or an app thingy. Black and white shapes in a box, you get one on your boarding card and nearly everything else!

Re: What are you doing today??
If its the same as Edinburgh airport they do the tests but you have to wait the same time as doing it anywhere else to get results , we are still thinking about flying 30/12/20 it means we will go down to Edinburgh 28/11/20 and get the test done stay over an extra night in hotel with result sent to us sometime on the 29th by E mail £80 a pop.Perfectspecimen wrote:Dont bother filling out that form online for coming back to UK. Wont be going on holiday because we have not received the covid test results you need to add to the form, we log on to look at it and it says test not received, has to be 72 hours before you land in Tenerife

I honestly can't see how you can get a 72 hour turnaround test and result with the post pal...

Doesn't matter if it's touristic or residential now Bill, you need a negative test to get onto the island.

Re: What are you doing today??
So 2,10 this morning the first results came back, you know the ones they never received
Cant use them because it has to be done 72 hours before you land in Tenerife not 72 days
As i get older there is nothing that surprises me anymore
Life's a Bit like a fairground ride hang on and enjoy the ride

Re: What are you doing today??
Bad news that Reg, and expensive I guess.
My experience with a company called AssuredScreening.com
All done by post/online. Cost was a bit under £116 including priority postage.
Ordered test at 1.30pm Wednesday.
Delivered by courier at 10.08 Thursday.
Registered test online, easy, and swabbed my gob at 4.16pm. Not so easy......
Drove to March Post Office and posted it in NHS PRIORITY post box about 5pm Thursday.
Result was emailed to me Saturday at 01.34am. So from posting to notification was about 36 hours. My Jet2 flight from Stansted is 09.50 on Sunday. 6.5 hours to deadline!

Re: What are you doing today??
I should have shoved up my arse and got screened for bowel cancer at the same time,
We did all that priority posting in the nice bag they sent, all military fashion etc but when they say they never got it but the results came this morning then they did get it so they are lying feckers,
I believe they are over run and lost control of it all, arse and elbow springs to mind, try again tomorrow
