Re: What are you doing today??
Aha, I had a new printer that wouldnt too. Took it back to Argos and swapped it for a different model of same price, £30 if I remember rightly....... New one says Canon on the box. Actually I havent even tried it yet, no tickets to print.......
Off to play boats in a minute. Sourced a new alternator for £40 from a place called MG Hive near Wisbech. Walked in and the 4 staff were having a ding dong. One old bird was saying If I leave how will you replace me? Hmmmmm, risky strategy. Rows and rows of MG stuff, or rows and rows,,,,
They never had a starter motor like mine so thats being reconditioned elsewhere.

Re: What are you doing today??
Got a bit of a dilemma, was pool night last night, still individuals and pairs knock out cup matches, due to an early exit I was a spectator,,, bunch of lads from the pub team up the road from ours who I am friendly with announce "since it's gonna be good weather this weekend were doing the ale trail, anyone want to join us", arghhh, I only done it a couple of weeks back with a bunch of other mates...
So the dilemma:-
Meet them eleven o'clock and get pissed, or go out early evening as per norm and get pissed...
mmmm,,, what times the bus to Victoria Station,,, this will be at least the forth time I've done it this year, we always do it on the Saturday nearest to Paddy's Day, that's lads only, then we had another lads only one for no special reason other than getting pissed, then the one a couple of weeks back was meant to be a day out in Liverpool with the wife's/girlfriends, but a friend of one of the bunch was emigrating to Australia and had never done the ale trail, so the plan changed, and now the pool bunch have latched on to it,,, wonder how much a rail season ticket costs...
Hic...

mmmm, just sit in the one place, problem with that is were starting eleven o'clock, well ten forty five to be exact, last train back in to Manchester's about twenty three something, so that's a twelve hour stint, now if we just sat in the one bar we'd be legless and possibly be in an unfit condition to catch the last train, not a good idea... I know it sounds as it's just one big piss up but it's quite an active day, just over two hours of the twelve are taken up with train travel, then another hour or two walking between the stations and the pubs, so that only leaves eight or nine hours for drinking, so all in all a pretty sensible day out really...

Well that's us just back today from Mallorca, it was totally fabulous, lovely hotel ,great staff , the resort was spot on ,especially for Val as it is totally flat along the seafront for miles, we think we have found our little Shangri La at last , no doubt we shall return again and again,
